***********************

Leta was a pillar of strength, compassion, and love in the family she leaves behind: Ramunas (husband), Ramune (daughter) and husband Ben, Ernesta (daughter) and husband Jake with granddaughter Destiny, Edvardas (father), Aida (sister), Kestutis (nephew), Jolita (niece), as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was born to Edvardas and Stase Baltusis on April 26, 1963 in Kaunas, Lithuania.  She graduated from Kaunas Medical School in 1983 to become a Pharmacy Technician and helped maintain the medicine inventory at Lithuania’s main medicine distribution center. She met her best friend and the love of her life Ramunas in 1989 and married six months later on March 31, 1990. Together they had twin daughters born on June 5, 1991.  After 10 years of applying for the Green Card lottery, Leta won and the family moved to the United States on April 7, 2000.  While learning English, she worked full-time and went back to school to earn a Certificate in Pharmacy Tech.  She started working at Parma Hospital in 2005 and has been a dedicated, hard-working and beloved night shift Pharmacy employee for the past 15 years.

Leta took care of everyone around her and lit up the room with her smile.  Her energy, positivity, and warmth radiated and was felt by everyone around her.  She was very graceful, always carrying herself with poise. She was a fighter. After she was diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma in 2015, she endured many painful and trying cancer treatments and medical trials. She never complained and kept pushing forward, determined to enjoy life and live to the fullest.

She loved vacations by the ocean, family gatherings, and making home-cooked meals for the family, especially her family’s favorite Lithuanian dishes.  She loved baking and sharing her treats with her colleagues at work. She loved the holidays, and always worked tirelessly to ensure a table full of food to please everyone. She loved spending time at the table with family and enjoying a glass of champagne.  She loved Ramunas’ garden tomatoes, the color purple, HGTV, true crime shows, and having a house full of plants and flowers.

Leta will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
