In loving memory of Kirk Keplar

We are saddened to have to say goodbye to Kirk, who passed away shortly after an automobile accident on March 8, 2019. We are grateful and amazed by the outpouring of support we have had during this difficult time.

Kirk had recently been hospitalized for a later diagnosed heart condition. Unfortunately, the condition may have been more than Kirk's body was ready to deal with.

While running errands with mom on Friday (3/8), Kirk lost consciousness while driving. The car traveled across the median, into oncoming lanes (thankfully there wasn't any traffic), up over the curb, hitting a wall and finally coming to a stop when hitting some trees. Witnesses were quick to call 911 and help arrived soon after the accident. Kirk was taken from the car and worked on by techs. Unfortunately, they were not able to revive them.

As far as we can tell from the autopsy report, Kirk's passing was a result of his new found heart condition, not the car accident. Mom also sustained injuries from the accident (she was in the passenger seat, wearing a seatbelt thankfully), but now is home recovering.

Unfortunately, the family is not prepared to cover the costs of Kirk’s untimely passing and is need of your support. In lieu of flowers or gifts, we are hoping that you would be willing instead to donate to our fund here. All funds raised will help with end of life expenses for Kirk.

There will be a memorial service held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13th, at Calvary’s Rock Church  at 2661 S. Meridian in Wichita. All are invited to attend and share in the celebration of Kirk’s life.
