In Loving Memory of Jose Perez

On behalf of the Perez family, I am heartbroken to share that Heaven gained another angel on Saturday, August 8th when Jose was tragically killed by an impaired driver.
He was an incredible father to two amazing children, as well as a loving husband. He devoted his entire life to his family, and was a great friend, story-teller, brother and colleague to many. He had the biggest heart and would make anyone feel instantly at ease. His presence truly did light up any room or situation.
His unexpected passing not only leaves a massive hole in the hearts of anyone who was blessed to have met him, but it also brings financial troubles as he was the sole provider for his family.
Funds raised by this campaign will solely be used by his wife, Xochitl, and his two children, Celic and Uriel, to pay for funeral costs, and ensuring that his children finish their educations, as this was so important to Jose - He worked so hard to put their education at the forefront. Due to the way he was killed, we are expecting this to bring about large legal fees as well.
The family has also expressed interest in preserving Jose's morals and values such as family, community, and faith by opening up / donating to a foundation in his name to raise awareness for impaired driving and the impacts these tragedies cause.
I recognize that many are facing financial hardships due to the ongoing pandemic, and we greatly appreciate any contributions.
