In Loving Memory of Baby Jeremy McClanahan

Jeremy Jesse "JJ" McClanahan, was born at 4:31 a.m. on Saturday, February 19th. He lived a beautiful 4 hours and 4 minutes surrounded by his family before passing away in the loving arms of his parents.

 

Jeremy was diagnosed with trisomy 18 while in utero. During this time, his parents continued to be in awe of his strength and desire to meet them, his sister, and his family. He continued to thrive in his mother's womb and surprise us all by being born full-term and breathing on his own. His four hours were spent immersed in the love of his family, his eyes wide open with his desire to take in as much of this world as possible. One thing is certain, and that is JJ knew he was, and always will be, loved and cherished by his family.

 

We remember JJ not as his diagnosis, but as a beautiful baby boy who was taken from this earth too soon. Though his time was short, his life was no less valuable. He serves as a reminder of how precious life is, and he has left a lasting impact through his life and the testament of his parents' faith.
