In Loving Memory Of Alexandra de Moura

Please help in keeping  Alexandra’s memory alive by donating to the GWU scholarship fund in honor of beloved daughter, sister, niece, and friend Alexandra de Moura- former gymnast and student at the GW university who drowned in a Pacific Ocean rip current while vacationing in Mexico with friends in August of 2019 https://www.gcnews.com/articles/the-hidden-dangers-present-to-swimmers-in-the-oceans-of-our-world/. Starting at the age of 3, Alexandra devoted most of her life to the sport of gymnastics. After countless hours of training and competing, Alexandra was offered a full scholarship to be a part of the George Washington University gymnastics team. After displaying such leadership, commitment, and strength, Alexandra ended her senior year at GW with being titled Co-Captain and MVP of her team. This scholarship hopes to bring another strong individual with Alexandra’s high spirits, drive, and unwavering commitment into the GW community. This person will carry on her legacy of being a role model both academically and through extracurricular activities.
