Nine months ago, when my workout partners and friends learned of Ryan’s passing, they wanted to do something for our family. They created this Go Fund Me campaign with a goal of $1500. This is a lot of money, so you can imagine our reaction when we received news that you all had donated $5260. It was important to Eric, Anne Marie, and me that your generosity honor Ryan, so we decided to put your donation into his foundation and designate it for two scholarships, Ryan Duran Turney Principal’s Award at Carson High School and another at UNC-Wilmington’s International Studies program. We are proud to say that your donations and contributions from others will sustain these scholarships for many years to come. We miss Ryan very much and are so grateful you helped us honor him. Your gift is helping keep his memory alive. To my Basement Bombshell ladies, you make me laugh, you make me sweat, you push me beyond what I think I am capable of.... You all rock!
Ryan Turney passed away while studying abroad. Please donate in any way you can to assist the family in bringing Ryan home and providing him with services to honor his life in the way he deserves. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ryan's family!
