I'm Your Kidney Match!

In November, my daughter Cortney will be donating a kidney to Lake Ozark Detective Shane Pierce. I'm sure many of you know the story by now. A lot of people have called her a hero for volunteering for this selfless act, but really she just feels humbled by the whole experience. After the surgery takes place, there will be a period of time needed for healing. During this time, Cortney will be taking a leave of absence from her job at Target, which she will return to after she is released by the doctor. Her position will be protected by FMLA and she will still receive partial pay. However, her family will still have their normal day to day living expenses. So many people have generously offered to help with meals and even money. I am setting up this page for those of you who wish to donate to Cortney in order to help support her during her time off from work, while money may be tighter than usual due to her not receiving full pay. It would be in no way compensation for what she is doing- no matter the outcome she is looking forward to helping Detective Pierce and his family. Any money donated would be strictly used to help provide for Cortney and her families cost of living and food expenses. Any money received once the goal has been reached will be donated to the organization of Shane's choice.
