Illness, Lost Job - Emergency Help Needed

Recently went through, and still going through, the worst illness I’ve ever had in my life. Very bad bacterial infection in my stomach I got over Thanksgiving weekends, and excruciating pain in both my legs. Despite that, I managed to make it in to work most days. On the few days/hours I had to leave early or couldn’t come in, I explained to my boss I have a doctor appointment! I was visibly ill and yet still hobbled in and did my work that was expected of me each day. I was supposed to be in the hospital or at least resting in bed, but I couldn’t afford to lose much time so I didn’t. At one point I even inquired about working remotely for a week or 2 so that I could still be productive while battling this illness. Well, they decided to fire me today because I was sick. And now I don’t know how I will pay my rent and other bills for the rest of this month into January. I’m left in a lurch and this is an emergency call for help for anyone who sees this. Any amount adds up and I would be so grateful. Meanwhile, yes I’ll be looking for other work but this really left me in a bind and Christmas is essentially cancelled for me. It’s a really rotten thing to do to a sick person making an effort to continue to go to work when I could barely walk, and still having trouble walking. My job was completely sedentary/desk job so there was no reason to fire me. Any help from out there would be SO GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU, in advance, from the bottom of my heart.
