Illinois Million Mask Mayday is a grass-roots response to requests for fabric face masks from local healthcare facilities, nursing homes, and first responders. Our mission is to support those on the front lines of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis by stretching the supply of medical-grade N95 masks. For every fabric mask we can create and distribute, we preserve N95 masks for those who need them most.
This is a huge effort, and many hands make light work. We have hundreds of volunteers sewing, and we are working long hours to keep them supplied with materials. Your donation will go directly to buying materials, paying for gas for those driving around the state picking up masks and dropping them off to facilities, and other critical needs. Not everyone is able to sew, but many people are able to donate. Please give what you can and please share widely!
