Not just any Spiderman, Illawarra's Friendly Neighbourhood Spidey!



What can I do, while I'm are still on this earth to make a difference?

I want to create a local Hero. A local Spiderman for anyone that  needs a smile. I want to be anle to visit local sock kids/familes that  need a moment there not thinking about medical bills or stress.

To do this, I need a suit and I need help funding one, not just any old suit. But the real deal. Then I want to bring it to everyone in the Illawarrra.

 

What can a nobody from a small town in the Illawarra do?

Raise funds to create a more Realistic Suit for great causes around the Illawarra Community and beyond when needed.  A recognised name.

I've got most of the Avengers equipment I've saved up for already, a Working Iron Man Helmet, Anthony Man, Spiderman and Thor's Hammer, Captain America's Shield and more... these are going to be used for kids and families to try on and interact with their fave heroes to create a visit that's Amazing for photos and hopefully long lasting memories. 

I want to be able to visit families and kids that need it around our beautiful Illawarra and beyond, I want to be able to walk into a Kids Cancer Ward and see a smile on their faces. I want to be able to help in fundraisers when needed and visit schools and conventions.

I simply can't afford a proper suit to do it and need help to get started. I'm almost there.

Also, let's be honest, who doesn't want to get into a Spiderman Costume when they're almost 40 while they still fit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated and you will see the progress as we move forward together.

I'm constantly getting upset by kids and families that struggle more than they should and having no one around to brighten there day. Sadness and Grief can be overwhelming when we hear about loss too and I just want to do something more.

I've always found my own way to purchase things, or go to the places and meet with the fandoms I love, Wether it's slowly saving up in what my wife calls my Squirrel Account, or the new wonderful Afterpays or Zip Pays. As my Great Grandad John Hammond used to say, "Life Finds A Way". But this time I truly need help from you as there aren't any viable payment options other than PAY NOW!

I want to do some good! Because usually, I can never be financially helpful to others.

It's been so many years of my life leading up to getting in the suit I've always loved and feeling deserving of the suit as well, both physically and mentally.

THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN friends, family, colleagues, supervillians!

I've had to look to the U.K. and States to get it done right and we all know those costs aren't cheap

Without me digging into whatever savings we do or don't have anymore and possibly losing my wife in the process (Love ya).... I need help!

THE SUIT STARK! HOW MUCH IS THE SUIT?

The cost of this one is roughly $800 USD from RPC Studios which covers the suit, the accessories like face shell and 3D Printed Suit Pieces and of course a bit more for Postage and Taxes. It may seem like a lot, but to be fully sized up for my Toes to Head, Printed, Sewing and putting it all together, it's an effort and one I couldn't do myself.

I could go on and on, but I'd love some help, any big or small amount will go towards my savings for the suit and I will keep you all completely in the loop with updates as I recieve them.

When the suit finally arrives I will upload a video made by which ever lovely Videographer (IPhone and Android Users Permitted) helps me.

From there we can then discuss where we can go with this.

I'll be grabbing a Working with Children's Check and start visiting places on my time off such as the Local Hospitals, Fundraisers, Hell, even Nursing Homes... Hey, every Spiderman deserves a good hot Cup Of English Breakfast Tea and Biccies.

I've always been a giant geek! Ever since I was 7 in 1989 and fell in love with Ghostbusters (What kid didn't back then?) the one film I wasn't allowed to watch, but Dad let me anyway, Shhh...don't tell Mum!

 

 

Well almost 33 years later, I'm not getting any younger and I've dragged my beautiful Partner/wife along for 24 years of it. Surprisingly, she somehow still kept me around and now, We have two amazing Boys aged 10 and 15, a Mortgage, 2 Dogs (We didn't make them) and 3 Hermit Crabs? Maybe 2!?

 

 

Spiderman has always been a massive part of my life since I was a kid and even more so, since Sam Raimi's Spiderman film back in 2000. I mean he's easy to relate to. Growing up and being bullied for being different at school (I was a skinny kid with a British accent and an Eye Patch in Primary School here when I arrived in Australia.

 

 

While I didn't get bitten by a Radioactive Spider, it took me meeting others like me and a beautiful woman that understood why I was the way I am. Thats not to say she may have thought about her life choices some days along the way.

 

I've had so many inspirational people around in my life besides my hard working partner, some of these Include Cosplay Chris (Chris Stanley) an Absolutely amazing Cosplay artist and Acting talent.

 

 

The Batman Of Springhill a wonderfully brilliant and genuine Cosplayer who travels far and wide bringing smiles and gifts without any real compensation other than the feeling of doing GOOD!

 

 

 

Rove McManus and Adam Richards are a big part of my last few years too, letting me know that it's OK to be a geek and stand out among the norm!

 

 

Ash Sargent who's always designed his own costumes from scratch and just got better at his craft as time went on!

 

 

My kids always smile and sometimes, for the older one, hide, when they see their Dad going full geek . Usually Marvel orientated.

 

I've homegrown some not so wonderful things in the past, looking back on them, could actually be quite frightening.
