I have a vision of being an Olympic Gold medallist in the discipline of recurve target archery. This vision is fuelling me to muster my utmost potential in every moment.
I’ve reached as high as 5th in the Australian national rankings accruing a slew 12+ state and national level medals and attaining overall champion in the Archery Queensland 2022 State titles. This being achieved with only a part time schedule training remotely from my home range (in Mullumbimby, NSW), utilizing coach Jarryd’s (Rogue Archery) support online.
However for me to progress into the upper echelons of this sport (ie. become internationally competitive) will demand even more of my presence & focused attention to do so. The next planned step is to train at the World Archery excellence center in Switzerland to live, eat, breathe, sleep & dream archery until my base form is solidified.
In this country Archery is only an amateur sport with very little prize money available & no clear pathways or dedicated training centres with funding available for athletes to progress towards the top.
I desire to utilise this platform to gather a team of awesome humans to share in the value of lessons learned together and to have fun along the way!
So the time has come for me to reach out for financial support as I've officially put my catering business to the side to make space for the new journey.
I’m grateful that over the years we fed many homeless people, helped with the refugee crisis in Greece, assisted during the floods in the northern rivers & donated to lots of food banks.
Now it’s time for me to focus whole heartedly on training and fulfilling the sequential steps necessary to live out this vision with gusto! OPA!
These funds will support me in stages below:
Stage 1. $10,000 Training camp at the world archery excellence center academy program where I will live/eat/breathe/sleep archery on a daily basis - Feb 2023
Stage 2. $10,000 Training camp with the Greek national team in Athens & Thessaloniki - March 2023
Stage 3. $10,000 To travel & participate in the European competition outdoor circuit ie. Turkey, Slovenia, Croatia, Germany - mid 2023
Stage 4. $10,000 Training camp with the world renowned Archery coach Kim Hyung Tak at his residential school in Korea - late 2023
Stage 5. $10,000 Equipment to support my upgraded performance levels including archery gear, super slow-mo cameras, recovery gear, hot/cold therapy, normatec, breathing aids - asap
Stage 6. $50,000 for the ongoing support in weekly training costs including full time coaching, sports physiotherapy, healing/recovery programs, functional patterns training, nutritionist, high performance mental management systems, psychological support = $1000+ p/w - asap
I will most likely need ongoing support & or sponsorship as new opportunities/ challenges arise.
I’m also open to donors supporting specific areas of my development ie. “I’ll donate towards your training camp at the world archery excellence center…”
