Let's Help Sherm Save Women's Lives

My dear friend, Sherman Powers, has been an Registered Nurse for 17 years.  As a medical volunteer with Centura Global Health Initiative , he has generously given of his time and expertise on 3 medical mission trips: Iquitos, Peru for general and cleft palate surgery;  Banepa, Nepal for pelvic floor reconstruction surgery; and Mugonero, Rwanda for orthopedic surgery.  

As Sherman puts it, " having the opportunity to give back in this way is a long-term dream of mine, and I feel blessed to get to work alongside of some great MDs and clinicians to provide free, life-changing surgery to those who need it most."

Sherman hopes to return to Nepal in late February 2015 to help save women's lifes though giving them critical surgery and treatment for the life-threatening condition of uterine prolapse.    This is an expensive trip, and he needs some help in covering travel costs.

I have been really inspired by Sherman's dedication to sharing his skills and himself with people in desperate need of medical treatment.  I hope you might consider making a small donation to help Sherm make a significant improvement in the lives of these hard-working Nepalese mothers.
