With Love for Mike Patterson

It’s not often that anyone from our family ask for anything other than prayers and kind thoughts. We were raised to work hard for the life we want but to appreciate the life we have in all aspects. We were raised to respect our family, love the Lord and to be kind to every person we encounter. Now my sister and I would like to ask for help. We aren’t asking for ourselves, but for the man that raised us, sacrificed for us, made sure we went to good schools, had a nice home and experiences that we could cherish for the rest of our lives. We are asking for your support for our father, Mike Patterson. Anyone who knows him, loves him. He is a gentle sole and a living example of a faithful Christian, true friend, loyal family member and loving husband. It’s kind of ironic that the man with the biggest heart for humanity is now in need of a heart himself. As we drive back from UAB finding that he’s being accepted as a heart transplant recipient, we’ve also learned there are a lot of cost that come with this $1.2 million dollar surgery. We are starting this account to help support lodging cost that our parents will incur during their stay near the UAB campus.    He can’t be more than 20 minutes away and with a home in Baldwin County, that proves quite challenging. That couopled with the major medical expenses not covered by insurance, will prove to be challenging during this time.
This is the beginning of a long journey for our Dad and we aren’t through making memories yet! We appreciate any love and support you can share. Most of all, and as always, we are forever grateful for your prayers.
