My name is Jacob (eleven years of age) and I have the great honour this year of representing Canada, my home and native land, for the IFMA World Youth Muaythai Championships in Antalya, Turkey. I am a proud member and hardworking trainee at Milton Muaythai, owned by Rommel Oliveros and instructed by both him and my oldest brother, Isaiah.
Some of my accomplishments include:
-2017 WAKO Ontario Provincial Kickboxing Champion (Title)
-2018 WAKO National Champion (Title)
-2018 Thai Boxing Association- USA (Silver medalist)
-2018 Muaythai Ontario Provincial Champion (Gold medalist)
-2018 Bloodline Fightsports #5 (Unanimous winner)
-2018 Muaythai National Champion (Silver medalist)
-2019 Muaythai Ontario Provincial Champion (Bronze medalist)
Our Canadian National Team will be embarking on our journey on the 23rd of September and I was hoping I could raise funds for my travel expenses (airplane fare, lodging, transportation and meals). This is a great opportunity for me, as an athlete, to continue to utilize all the skills I have attained from training in the art I hold dear, the Art of Eight Limbs (Muaythai). I am overjoyed with the fact that not only do I train in this combat sport, but, my seven other siblings do as well (not including my youngest sibling who is only eighteen months old. She'll join us when she turns three). I am blessed to have endless love and support from my parents (Rob and Melissa), my siblings (Isaiah, Michael, Mateo, Leilani, Dominic, Kaleia, Kiana and 'Ailana), my Grandparents (Felix, Lita, Carlito and Elizabeth), my extended family (Uncles, Aunts and Cousins), my Milton Muaythai family, my extended Muaythai family (Muaythai Ontario, Muaythai Canada and neighbouring clubs/ gyms), my school community (administrative/ teaching staff and classmates), my friends (past and present) and last, but certainly not the least, GOD. My faith runs deep and my fighting spirit runs strong. Kindly find it in your hearts to donate what you can (every little bit helps), so I can fulfill my dream of competing on a world class stage.
