Our small island nation of Jamaican is the first Caribbean country to become an Associate Member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).
Ice Hockey Jamaica - Senior Men's Team has been invited to compete in the 2019 Amerigol / LATAM Cup, in Coral Springs, Florida; September 6, 7, 8.

The Federation made up of volunteers has a very modest budget. We believe that our participation in this tournament against Latin American countries is important as it will raise the profile of Jamaican Ice Hockey and help us realize the dream of Jamaica competing in a Winter Olympic Games in the near future. Players and volunteers of Jamaican citizenship/decent will be required travel from Canada, USA and the UK to represent Jamaica at this international tournament. They will do so at their own expense to proudly represent their country. The team is in need of accommodations, uniforms, track suits and other supplies required to compete in this event which they are favoured to win ! Tournament fees are due very soon, hotel rooms need to be booked and arrangements made in south Florida.
The LATAM Cup games will be video broadcasted via the Internet and ESPN Radio. There will be additional media exposure as well. The south Florida area has the second highest Jamaican population in North America, and we expect to develop new Jamaican ice hockey fans to the fastest sport on ice. There will be a 4-game minimum with the possibility of more games as teams advance.
