Ibex Cares Gift

Ibex Family,

As you are aware, a van carrying our facilities team in Davao was in a fatal accident in Camiguin as they were traveling to a team building event. The tragedy claimed the lives of three of our ibex employee family members: Julie Ann Mae Oliva, Jovert de Asis, and Ian Jumahali, who died in the accident.  Additionally, six other employees, as well as relatives and friends of the traveling party sustained injuries, some of which are quite serious.

The Company’s thoughts and prayers are with all affected individuals, including their family and friends.  We are committed to assisting the victims and their families through this tragic time and helping our Davao family to heal. The outpouring of support from our ibex family has been overwhelming.  While ibex will support the families through all available sources, there are always unexpected costs related to an event such as this and many of you have reached out inquiring how you can help the victims.

To respond to these requests, Ibex has developed several ways to give a financial gift to those impacted by the tragedy.  This Go Fund Me account is being managed by your Chief People Officer, Paul Inson- to allow individuals from all over the world the option to contribute a financial gift to the victims and their families. Those who wish to participate should complete this process no later than 7.14.19.  The funds will be withdrawn at that time by Mr. Inson and delivered to the Ibex Cares Committee for distribution.

Participation in this program is strictly voluntary. Gifts and associated amounts will remain entirely confidential. These gifts will not be tax deductible to the donors. Ibex will merely be the aggregator and distributor of these funds. Recipients of these gifts will be responsible for the tax consequences of accepting these gifts.

Distribution of funds to eligible employees will be determined by the ibex Cares Committee, which is comprised of a cross-functional team of Senior Management who will take into consideration death and severity of injury, needs of the employee’s family and tenure with the ibex, among other factors. 100% of funds collected will be distributed to eligible employees.
