Hola, somos Enol y Eli y necesitamos tu ayuda. Nuestro hijo Ian, que ahora tiene 2 años y medio, debe ser intervenido de una hernia hepigástrica. Esta hernia es algo común en recién nacidos pero a Ian se le complicó algo más. Cuando nació, se nos informó de ello y que habría que esperar al año de edad para operarle. Cuando cumplió el año y lo miraron, nos dijeron que debíamos esperar aún más para operar, hasta que se fortaleciera la zona, caminase y (especialmente) tuviera más peso. Ahora el cirujano ha dicho que debe ser operado pero la Seguridad Social tiene una espera de año y medio. Esto es grave y potencialmente peligroso para Ian porque resulta que la hernia está presionando su estómago y eso hace que se le impida un buen desarrollo físico con el tiempo. Algunos órganos se pueden desplazar en los próximos meses, a parte de que podría tener dificultades para respirar y para hacer la digestión bien. El propio pediatra nos ha recomendado optar por realizar esta intervención por lo privado y por eso necesitamos vuestro apoyo económico. Hemos tenido consulta con los médicos por lo privado y ahí podríamos operarle la semana que viene.
El presupuesto total son 2790 euros y nosotros ya hemos conseguido 1400, así que solo nos hacen falta 1390 euros. Te agradecemos cualquier cantidad con que nos pudieses ayudar, sabiendo que tu aportación marcará una diferencia en la vida de Ian ahora mismo y en su futuro.

Hello, we are Enol and Eli and we need your help.
Our two year old son, Ian, needs to be operated on for an Inguinal Hernia. It’s quite common in newborn, but Ian has had some additional complications. We were told about it when he was born and that the operation would be needed to be done when he was a year old. When he turned one we went back to the doctors, but they said we needed to wait longer so the area could be stronger, that Ian had to be walking, and mainly that Ian had to weigh more. Now the surgeon has said it needs to be done sooner than later, however the public hospital has a wait-list of a year and a half. This is very dangerous because such a long wait could cause long term damage because the hernia is pressuring Ian’s stomach. Additionally some of his internal organs could shift in the upcoming months which could cause respiratory and digestion problems. The pediatrician recommended that we do the operation through a private clinic and that is why we need your financial support. We have gone to see the doctors and they could do the operation as soon as next week. The complete cost will be 2790 €. We already have 1400, so we would need 1390€. We are thankful for any amount that you would consider donating to help Ian get this operation, it would make such a difference in his health now and also long term. Thank you.

In an absolutely incredible way for us, Ian has reached his goal and, thanks to the generosity and the great heart of each one of you, he has surpassed it, which makes us feel calmer before the possibility that God do not want it, you had to spend some night admitted and thus being able to cover some other revision consultation that will also be necessary.
In short: THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE RESPONDED. WE WILL MAKE SURE THAT IAN ALWAYS KNOW THAT THERE HAVE BEEN THOSE WHO HAVE INVESTED IN HIS LIFE AND THAT, WHEN HE GROWS UP, HE WILL BE WILLING TO DO THE SAME FOR OTHER PEOPLE.
