On May 16, three people were killed and three more, including a child, were critically injured in a crash involving a wrong-way impaired driver.
The six victims are of one family—on the way back from attending the son, grandson, and nephew's commencement in Florida. They all are from Indonesia.
The three who died were the father of the graduate and grandmothers. The injured were the graduate's uncle—Harianto, mother—Fenny Sudjono, and brother—Ryan Christian. All of the survivors from the accident have been discharged from the hospital. However, they will continue to go through treatment and therapy for the many months ahead.
After a viewing and funeral service in California, the three bodies have been flown back to Surabaya, Indonesia for a burial service.
