Need your help - kidney disease

On May 15, 2016 during prayer, I fainted and had a seizure. By the grace of God, my wife and mother were there with me when it occurred. Alhamdulillah, they immediately called the ambulance. I stayed at the hospital for approximately two weeks. My life dramatically changed. I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease and would have to get dialysis three days a week for 4 hours each day. The journey began with several surgeries and being subjected to many medications in an attempt to control the hypertension which led to the kidney failure. The nephrologists prescribed five medications that I still take to this day. This news shocked me because I have always been health conscious. I exercise regularly and consume a wholesome and healthy diet. Nonetheless, I truly understand that we are sometimes tested with our health. So God is testing me with this disease. As a person of faith, my recourse is to handle it with patience, perseverance and prayer.

     The team of nephrologists advised that a kidney transplant would be the cure, and spoke privately with my family to answer their questions. I am O positive blood type; therefore, I would need someone who has the same blood type to be my match. I informed family and friends so that they could start the process to determine if they are a match and a possible kidney donor for me. Alhamdulillah, I do have a few people getting tested now. My blood type constitutes 47% of the U.S. population, so I sincerely believe that I will find a match soon.

     Unfortunately, with the drastic changes in my health, dialysis, and also enduring fatigue and various side effects attributed to the prescribed medicines, I am no longer employable. I need financial help to care for my family, which consists of a wife and two young kids. My needs are basic, but costly. Disability does not cover mortgage, utilities, car insurance and the cost of medications. After the surgery, disability stops and the cost of transplant medications is extremely high and is not covered by medical assistance programs. Currently, my mortgage is 3 months delinquent. The financial struggle is an added stress to my already existing health conditions.

     Anybody who is unable to assist monetarily is encouraged to help by praying for me as much as they can. My situation is urgent because my blood pressure remains high even though I take 5 different medications daily. I pray that you understand the urgency of my situation and assist me however you can.I greatly appreciate your help. Helping me is like helping yourself because no good deed goes unrewarded.
