I love a sunburnt country

Let's celebrate a famous Australian female poet. Dorothea Mackellar's memorial in family plot at the historic Waverley Cemetery has only a small marble marker.
After approval to do so, Libby Hathorn approached the Society of Women Writers, NSW, one of the oldest continuing female literary societies in Australia, to provide a suitable white Carrara marble panel, inscribed with lead inlay inscription which includes the most famous Australian stanza ever written, from her poem My Country.
To provide and install piers and footings in sandstone and the lettered marble, proved difficult for our small but time-honoured society to do without financial help.
So we are appealing to you for help to do this during the next few months, so that countless visitors, both overseas and local can delight in Dorothea's words. And importantly, generations of school students who make the pilgrimage to poets' graves at Waverley, Cemetery will be inspired.
Not only will women writers and the general public be grateful for such acknowlegment of a famous poet, but the SWW whose purpose is to encourage female writers in particular, will be most grateful.
