I Heartbeat Dance Studio

In 2017, I started I Heartbeat Dance, LLC. with the vision of bringing the culture and awareness of the HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) Majorette style dance to Omaha, NE.  In not knowing how to exactly begin this mission, I asked God for guidance on what to do and that's when I Heartbeat Dance Camps were created. The first camp was hosted March 2017 with nine (9) girls in the age ranges of 12-19.

At the 3 day camp, I taught the girls the new style of dance while also providing three (3) workshops that fostered confidence, self-worth, leadership, and positive relationship building. With the success of the first camp I decided to host a second camp, January 2018. I had 48 GIRLS PARTICIPATE! 48! From the ages of 7- 19 from Omaha and Mississippi.  I appreciate every person that donated, had their children participate or simply supported near or far. I was so honored and humbled by all the support of the camp.

I am now embarking on the next phase for I Heartbeat Dance, which is OPENING MY FIRST DANCE STUDIO! I had been searching for over 6 months and nothing ever worked out. The day after the camp showcase that was opened to the public I received a call offering me space to turn into my studio! I am excited to bring the Majorette style of dance to the city of Omaha for all ages! My vision for this studio is for every girl and woman that walk through my studio doors or that I work with to never leave the same. My desire is that everyone leaves inspired, encouraged, confident, loved, valued, beautiful and bold! 

Since I announced that I will be opening a dance studio, many people have reached out to see how they can assist so here is your chance!

The studio does need significant renovations before grand opening (Saturday, March 24th) and your donation will go directly into the studio.
