I Am 20 Million Women Strong

20 Million Women Strong is my passion.  I am initiating an organic movement of women and their allies and supporters, from around the world to make this world a better place for all by lifting the consciousness of humanity as we lift our voices for change. This movement is to benefit communities locally and globally as we lift our voices for Women, Children, Families and the Earth.

I am currently raising funds to enable me to network with women, youth and groups and to create shared art, media, events and collaborative movements. Funds will provide the resources necessary for me to be able to plan, outreach  and implement the vision for the 20 Million Women Strong Movement.

This movement is perhaps the most import initiative of my life. I say this because I am heartbroken as I see how far our country and others have stripped away and neglected the many voices of our society - women, children, minorities, the LGBTQ, the poor, the elders, the sick, caging vulnerable children at the borders and using prisons to warehouse human beings, the immigrants and refugees who are being displaced by wars, natural disasters and climate change. At a time when our hearts should be opening, and moving from greed to need, we are witnessing a moment in history that may become a defining moment for our future outlook -- either we claim our humanity and love for Mother Earth, thereby creating a sustainable future for generations to come; or, in the absence of "doing something," we witness the changing course of life as we know it - as we are becoming more and more aware of the potential for extinction events looming before us.

One night as I was lying in bed about to fall asleep, I had this alarming question pop into my mind. "What were the masses of humanity doing prior to horrific historical events that resulted in some of the most inhumane actions (slavery, lynchings, annihilation of indigenous peoples around the world, the Jewish holocaust, caging of vulnerable children at boarders, murdering LGBTQ ...). 

I pledge this ACTION -- creating a movement, 20 Million Women Strong (#20MWS) and their allies and supporters, around the world for children, families, and the Earth, born of the conviction that, when women stand up together, change happens! NOW is the time to create a shift in the consciousness that determines the condition of women, children, families, and the Earth for generations to come!

The financial support of 20 Million Women Strong, our allies and supporters will provide a base for the work of building and supporting this movement . I am so grateful to all of the women who are standing with me and lending their talents and gifts to this vision. This is a we, the we in the one, the one in the we..
