Hyperlink Press 2021 Fundraiser
Donation protected
Founded by queer Korean American zinemakers, Hyperlink Press have been organizing and publishing projects that are inspired by cyber lesbian utopia project LB City (2000-2003) since 2018. With your help, we could financially support our QTPOC collaborators and upcoming projects that promote important dialogues for the better future that our community deserves.
Why GoFundMe?
We will need the funds by January 20th for our 2021 production. The majority of our collective are independent artists, and the amount of funds we currently have is not enough to cover the production cost of upcoming projects: interview catalog of Socially Engaged Lesbian art in South Korea, Remembering LB City vol. 2: PracticePracticePractice, and About that BLM Letter to Your Immigrant Mom v2.
Also, we would like to honor our collaborators for their work that they deserve. With this fund, we will be able to produce 100 copies of Remembering LB City vol.2. At the moment we are offering $140 for approximately 10 collaborators. We would like to compensate them at least $200 for their work and enrich the future production and programming of Hyperlink Press projects
Our story
Hyperlink Press is a publication and curatorial collective inspired by cyber lesbian utopia project called LB City (2000-2003). We are zine makers based in Seoul, New York, and Somerville with mutual interests stemming from our diasporic childhood and the role of the internet as a platform for building dialogue for a better community. We aim to create intersectional platforms, showcase work by underrepresented artists, and continue the dialogues and practice within our daily life towards dismantling white supremacy and patriarchy.
