I'm not very good at asking for favors or help, but I am trying to get home to see my family for the holidays. It has been five months since I saw them and I would love to spend some time at home during Christmas. I know this time of year comes with greater expenses than what is a normal throughout the year. If you can give anything, even just a dollar, I would be incredibly grateful. I have 93 friends linked on my FaceBook account. If each person gave just $20, then I would almost make my goal. So I am basically asking if I could get $20 bucks from you. And I heard from a semi-reliable toll-troll that he may make a guest appearance at your next outdoor activity if you make a donation. (*Fine Print: I am not legally or financially obligated to ensure a toll-troll in fact does make an appearance at any outdoor activities, but I have heard he is partial to pistachio ice cream.)
