Evangelismos Tis Theotokou COVID19 Appeal Fund

EVANGELISMOS TIS THEOTOKOU COVID19 APPEAL FUND
Dearest Friends,
The COVID19 pandemic has forced unprecedented challenges on all of us, our loved ones, as well as our community. For generations, the faithful have flocked to Evangelismos Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church for support and steadfastness; and in turn, Evangelismos Tis Theotokou has always been readily available to receive the faithful with open and loving arms.
We continue to fervently pray for the health, safety and well-being of all during this crisis.
Due to COVID19, the Liturgical life of the faithful has shifted. Before the coronavirus, multitudes would gather at Evangelismos Tis Theotokou in common prayer. However, beginning in mid-March, the mandated restrictions significantly curtailed attendance and eventually forced Evangelismos Tis Theotokou to shutter its doors.
Yet, the spiritual lifeblood of our church has not and will not be stopped! It proceeds forth with almost-daily divine services celebrated by Fr. Charalambos and streamed online for the faithful to participate in during Great Lent, Holy Week, Pascha and beyond.
We need your help and support.
The restrictions are drastically hurting the already difficult financial situation of Evangelismos Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church in Montreal. The traditional financial lifeblood of the church has come to a halt. These are tough times for all – our church included which must continue to support the costs related to the upkeep of the building, utilities, employee salaries, etc. while having lost the primary means of support: donations from our very generous friends and faithful.
Please help by donating to this online campaign, which has received the blessing of Fr. Charalambos. Through the CRA registered charity of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society of Evangelismos Tis Theotokou, your generous donation will help make a positive impact. All donations will receive a tax receipt provided by the Paypal Giving Fund of Canada.
