Ellie's Mission Trip to Guatemala

Hello friends and family!
I have the opportunity to travel to Guatemala for a medical mission trip during the spring!
As many of you know, I am currently in my last year of undergrad for Pre-Physician Assistant studies at UW-La Crosse. And, although I have always wanted to participate in a medical mission trip, I had never found an opportunity that fit... until now! But I am in need of some help...
This opportunity is through an incredible organization called Partners in Medical Missions (more information here: http://www.partnersinmedicalmissions.org/). On this trip, I will have the privilege of spending 10 days volunteering alongside skilled orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists and other surgical personnel who treat indigent Guatemalan patients who may not otherwise have been able to receive the care they need. The treatments provided range from clubfoot correction to knee replacements, all performed with Guatemalan cultural ideals in mind. This trip would provide me the chance to immerse myself in the culture while also learning valuable skills for my future career in the medical field. However, all of this won't be possible without the support of my friends and family.
I am asking for donations to cover the cost of my entire trip, which includes the airfare, housing and food. Any amount, large or small, will make a huge difference in fulfilling this lifelong dream of mine.
Even if you are unable to donate yourself, even taking the time to share this story will help! Thank you in advance!
