Wheelchair Rugby union

Donation protected
Hello everybody my name is will and I have decided to try raise some fund to help me to purchase a wheelchair Rugby chair.

A little bit about myself I was in the military and in 2013 suffered a life changing injury to my back which ended my career and my ability to play and coach rugby.
Now I can go into details of what happened and how it has effected me but there not enough space.

Now I will tell you about what I have lost and what getting this wheelchair will do and this is what matters the most to me and why I am fundraising

Any rugby players will tell you that going out on that Saturday afternoon in the cold and wet the best part is playing in a team of mates drinking buddy and how much fun it is on and off the pitch it the same for a coach they may not be playing but being there on game day seeing what you have implemented there no better feeling.
When I got injured I lost that and I also lost that feeling of working within a team the banter of being in the military.

In 2017 I met my now wife who has been the most amazing supportive person ever alway pushing me to do better to find a way and not let my injuries control my life it my life not my injuries and each week she seen me watching rugby and telling her how much I missed playing and bonding with other and I did think I would never feel that ever again until one day she ouch me towards the wheelchair rugby displayed at Plymouth Armed Forces Day ( Plymouth Punishers ) and that was the day it changed for me because I couldn’t hide I couldn’t walk away I had to talk about how much I missed Rugby.

Now at the display I was talking to Conner and he invited me along to a training session and WOW I was hooked from the start everything that I thought I had lost came back playing with people I never met before but instantly it felt amazing not just the veteran who were there but the other players all of which made all us new players feel welcome to be there.

And it because of the club I am doing these actions below and if I can achieve just one goal I will be happy and it will help not just me but all the players and future players.

Raise fund for a new Rugby wheelchair
Raise funds for the repair and servicing of all the chairs and the wheels
Bring awareness to all disabled people that there are sport you can do and nothing can stop you it you try
Be able to support other like I have been supported.

Well if you got this far thank you for reading this and supporting me and the Team.
