HVLL - Rebuild due to ARSON fire
Donation protected
Huntington Valley Little League is a non-profit, volunteer-based, youth-baseball organization. We serve more than 750 kids in Huntington Beach, California.
On November 13, 2016 – just hours after our players (ages 8-9) wrapped up their last game of the season – a fire broke out at our Minor B score booth. Thanks to an alert neighbor, the Fire Department quickly arrived, but the structure – and all of its contents – were destroyed. In addition to the score booth, the bleachers, backstop fencing, and safety netting were also heavily damaged.
The firemen believed that the fire was intentionally set. Footage we've since received from a neighbor's security camera confirmed this sad fact. Needless to say, the Minor B field is closed until further notice. Thank goodness, no one was injured!
Our Spring Season is right around the corner and we are determined to kick it off with baseball as usual. Our community is strong and we are confident that it will come together to help us not only rebuild the score booth and its surrounding area, but also to repair the spirits of the kids and families we serve.
In order to do this, we need your help! Any donation – none too big or small – will help us move forward.
Thanks in advance for your interest and consideration.
