Hello, my name is Sarah Hutnek. I grew up in Katy, Texas and spent the last 17 years of my life living in the same house. I have since left for college and moved away from home, but my family still lives in the area and thrives in the Katy, Texas community. I have created this page to help my family get back on their feet after this incredible devastation from Hurricane Harvey.
We are heartbroken that this has happened. Our home had several feet of water, all of our belongings are lost - our vehicles, our senitmental items, everything. Due to the extreme nature of the flooding, we never anticipated any of this would happen so we don't have flood insurance or a way to fix all of this damage. We're asking for your help, any amount will be appreciated. We will use the funds to replace all of the inside of our home, from dry wall to appliances (refridgerator, washer/dryer, etc.) to furniture. These funds will go directly to benefit my family and our neighbors. Any amount past our goal will go towards helping our neighbors and our community rebuild. #HoustonStrong #WeWillRebuild
