Husband, father and friend has significant stroke

My name is Matt and I'm raising funds for Jose Cabrera and his family. Jose is a beloved husband, father, family member, friend and colleague. Jose suffered a stroke on February 10th, 2024. Immediately after suffering a stroke, Jose required a Craniectomy, which is a type of brain surgery to remove a portion of one’s skull for the purpose of relieving and repairing the affects of a stroke. Jose spent ten (10) days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before being transferred to the Neurological Unit. Jose will need many months of healing to recover and then a significant amount of ongoing physical therapy and rehabilitation. As you may know, long term disability benefits are limited in duration and only provide a portion of one’s salary in that time. More so, the family’s ability to cover existing expenses and the expenses of stroke recovery and rehabilitation will exceed their means. Please donate and assist the family during this difficult time.
