Hurricane relief fund for the Roberts Family Home

Hi everyone, my name is Brittany (Sybil’s daughter and Pam’s Granddaughter) and my goal is to raise money for my Grams home as she (and many others) experienced the total loss of their home and all the belongings that were in there. The flood waters from hurricane Ian were unbelievable and unforgiving. At 2 am my mom woke my Gram up to let her know that the water was rising at an alarmingly fast rate and by 2:30am the water was at their back door. It took no time for the water to begin entering inside and filling our childhood home with water. At 3 am my mom and Step Dad rushed to get my Gram in the canoe and get her to safety. The water and current was merciless. This flood caused so much damage to the structural components of their home, took their brand new appliances, all material aspects in their, cherished family photos and heirlooms, and so much more. This house was more than just a home. It housed and raised 3 generations of children, was home to all those who entered, deemed “the watering hole” by my Poppa, provided HatCreek with a place to work, and so very much more. Much like our matriarch, Gram, this home is a staple piece in our family too. This Hurricane caused significant damage that will become more apparent in the days to follow. Anyone who knows my family knows that we were raised to help those in need and be kind always. My mom and Gram are not the kind of people to reach out and ask for help, especially the financial kind of help. However, this time they are truly going to need as much help as they can get to rebuild and start over. All funds will be utilized in the repairs and will be used to refurnish their home. We appreciate each and everyone of you! As a special request from myself, if you’re able to donate( or not, you can just send me a message!) please share a memory/Pictures that you’ve made with our family or at the house so when they’re presented with the donation I can add in all the memories from all of you that were created at their home/with them since we’ve lost so many of our pictures!
