Hurricane Relief for Naomi's Family
Donation protected
Naomi Diaz and her elderly, disabled parents are stranded in Puerto Rico without water, electricity, food, or medicine. She needs donations so they can fly to mainland US to join her daughter and grandchildren in Boston, and so that they can survive in the meantime.
Naomi moved back home last year to care for her ailing parents. Her father, Jose F Diaz, is a veteran and her mother, Lavinia Velasquez, is a retired ED nurse. Jose has advanced prostate cancer and Lavinia suffers from dementia and psychosis. Both have diabetes. The hurricane flooded their entire first floor, destroying everything and leaving a putrid smell of rotting animal carcasses that is nearly unbearable. Every local pharmacy they've driven to has been empty and every local store they've visited has had no water. Living in Yauco, on the southwest of the island, they've yet to see a single aid worker. Please help them raise money so that they can survive and flee the devastation to join their family in the Boston.
