Hurricane Relief for Kenyon Family

A good family with Kenyon Grads recently had their home severly damaged in Hurricane Harvey.  Kris and Stephanie Cheney and family will be out of their home indefinitely, and have no place to live until the process of Insurance claims (90-120 days), construction (30-60 days).  Also, they lost their belongings, furniture, clothing, etc.  The cost of meals, housing, and expenses for the next 150 days will be astronomical, and insurance, while it covers the repairs, will not help them survive until their home is repaired.  

Ellie Erickson and I have wanted to help this family, as they are very important to us!  

The estimate for a family of four during this time period is going to add up quickly.  Renting a home will be 5,000 monthly with utilities and rent costs.  Replacing their furniture, materials, and clothing will cost approximately 5,000.  So we are going to set the goal at 10,000 to help this family.

We are going to run this for the next 2 weeks, as we need to start helping this family immediately.  Please call me and text me  if you have any questions.  I do not want to publicly post the identities of the family, but we can discuss.  

In the spirit of the community we had and continue to have at Kenyon College, and the relatinoships we have gained there, please donate to this.  Even a small donation will help, because we have such a wide net between the 1999 graduates and 2004 graduates.
