Jeff and Mary Simpson from Lake Charles, LA, suffered loss. Their trailer (their only home) was totaled during Hurricane Laura last month. They do not have insurance and were denied help from FEMA. They cannot return to their work until power is restored. Currently, the only income they have is through unemployment. Even that process takes time. Meanwhile they are seeking shelter at another family's home. They are grateful to be alive, but they do need financial help during this time. They still have bills to pay and are seeking a way to purchase another trailer or other living arrangements.
