Hurricane Maria Destroyed Us...

Hurricane Maria destroyed an island, our communities, our communication, everything. Half of my roof came off, water destroyed everything in my house. My car was banged up pretty bad. Just devastating!! There's no other word to describe it. Everyone who knows me, knows I wouldn't ask anyone for a dime. I've always been the one to help, but now I am asking for help because the programs that are going to help PR haven't even started the process yet and it can take months before we start seeing any help. I am practically homeless, as are many others on the island. I feel selfish asking for help but if you can't help, a simple share will do. I know PR will prosper again but it is going to take alot of money, alot of resources, alot of help and most importantly ALOT of prayers. This has been the worst natural disaster to hit PR ever. Hurricane George was a Category 3 and it took over 3 months for people to start receiving help. This was a Category 5, so you can only imagine. I have to put my pride aside and ask for help. I can't stay with my mother for long. And our financial situation is not well right now. I'm out of work due to the economic situation on the island. Now this hits us. It's gonna be even worse. I just had a procedure done on my spinal cord a couple weeks ago and my next procedure was supposed to be tomorrow. But due to this monster that attacked us, it has been cancelled til further notice. I went to see my house on Wednesday and I just started to cry. Took years of sacrifice to be able to have our own home and now it has been taken from us.
