Hurricane Michael - Jessica & Kids

Donation protected
On October 10, 2018, Hurricane Michael hit Panama City, Florida.

My daughter, Jessica Nicolosi Banks and her two children, Zech and Gabby, stayed with friends further up in the “Cove”

Jessica is an entrepreneur and supports her family solely on her yoga classes throughout the Panama City area as well as teaching autistic children yoga.  At this time she doesn’t even know if her locations are still standing.  That being said, her income is zero right now.

Her house is intact and dry inside. There are two large trees on the house and all the other trees have been uprooted!

If you have never been there before the old town and the “Cove” was renowned for the old oak trees covered with the long Spanish moss. It was very picturesque driving along St. Andrew’s Bay.  Now, the trees are gone.  What trees survived, they either were snapped off like toothpicks or the branches stripped off.

Jessica is needing cash more than anything right now.  She needs food for her and the kids, gas money and to cover immediate repairs.  Jessica is a hard worker and already getting ready to do cleanup.  It’s going to take months even years to recover.

Before Hurricane Michael

After the hurricane hit.

Jessica in front of her house.

“Grilled cheese heaven!” Jessica says!  Even though her house was pretty messed up, she and her friend Stephanie were out walking in the Cove looking for neighbors and contacting people via Facebook for their families.  Jessica is an angel!!

On 2nd street, just around the corner looking at St Andrew’s Bay. It used to be all shady and green.

Massalina Bayou. There used to be sailboats in the slips.

Across the street

October 18th: Tree limbs were moved enough that the house can be seen so Jessica can get inside to move some things out. It looks like the porch is going to have to be repaired, the right side needs work and the rear of the house too. So, hopefully we continue to get donations so the deductible can be paid! Please donate!

October 26th:  The electric came back on line a few days ago.  Grateful for that! The insurance company has had contractors out there to remove the trees and the shrubs. It looks like Jessica has a clean slate to replant and landscape her yard.  Jessica and the kids are anxious to get back to their home in the Cove!! Yes it

Please donate whatever you can!  Every dollar helps!

Thank you!
