Hurricane Irma Funeral Fund

My mother passed away suddenly as we were evacuating Miami due to hurricane Irma. Our family is unable to cover the funeral expenses dues to the hardship created by my sisters and her family's recent escape from Venezuela. I kindly ask for your help to cover her transport back to Miami and funeral expenses.
Mi madre falleció de repente cuando estábamos evacuando Miami debido al huracán Irma. Nuestra familia esta pidiendo ayuda para poder cubrir los gastos funerales y de entierro. Mi hermana y su familia recien salieron de Venezuela y todavia estan en proceso de establecerse.
Hurricane Irma was enormous threat to South Florida. Our family chose to evacuate since the area we live in is prone to flooding and considered our home to be unsafe for a hurricane of that magnitude. We set off from Miami to Atlanta but it turned out that the hurricane was also headed in that direction. My mother in full panic begged us to head east to South Carolina.
My mother was a beautiful woman of faith. She was always full of joy and loved by everyone. She never failed to bring a smile to the people that she met. At 70, her age did not matter to her, she was a teenager at heart. Mother to 2 daughters and grandmother to 3 grandchildren. She was able to help her daughter and grandchildren escape from the civil unrest in Venezuela. She prayed fervently day and night for their safety and escape. God answered her prayers and her dream of having her family here was enjoyed for a month.
The road from Atlanta to South Carolina was not easy. Traffic conditions, frightened families and accidents filled the roads. The stress of the evacuation and safety for her family was too much for her precious heart. She began complaining of shortness of breath and we got off on the nearest exit. There was a hospital nearby but we could not find it since we were not from the area. We pull off to the side of the road to try to get some assistance and my mother desperate gets out of the car. I pull her to my arms and "I can't breathe" were the last words she said. I start screaming for help, praying and she starts convulsing. Our entire family was there screaming and crying "grandma don't leave"'. My sister was on the phone with 911 and they were trying to find us. She started spewing foam from her nose and mouth when the ambulance arrived. She suffered a massive heart attack. They tried CPR and got a faint pulse. At the hospital they tried massaging her heart but it was too weak.
My name is Yosmary Ramalho. This has been the most difficult moment for us. Sudden, cold and scary. Everything happened so fast and in my arms. We are still trying to process what happened. I am trying to be strong for my family but I really need help. My mother has to be transported from South Carolina to Miami and we need to cover funeral costs. Anything would help us and it greatly appreciated. I want to give my mother the proper service she deserves. God bless you.
Nuestra familia optó por evacuar de Miami por causa del huracan Irma. El destino inicial era Atlanta, GA pero resultó que el huracán también se dirigía en esa dirección asi que nos dirigimos hacia Carolina del Sur. Mi madre era una hermosa mujer de fe. Siempre estaba llena de alegría y amada por todos. Ella nunca dejó de sonreír a la gente que conocía. Le gustaba interceder por otros y lo hacia con verdadera dedicacion y pasion. A los 70 años, era como una niña de corazón. Madre a 2 hijas y abuela a 3 nietos. Por medio de su oracion ferviente mi hermana y su familia pudo escapar de Venezuela. Dios respondió a sus oraciones y disfruto de la compañia de toda su familia desde Agosto. El estrés de la evacuación fue muy fuerte para su precioso corazón. Mi madre tiene que ser transportada de Carolina del Sur a Miami y necesitamos cubrir los costos de funeral y entierro. Cualquier contribucion que puedan saber nos ayudara y lo apreciaremos mucho. Quiero darle a mi madre el servicio que merece. Dios te bendiga.
