Life has been hard for Rebel in his 20 years. Born into a working farm, he was beat and discarded when he could no longer pull logs. He lost his right eye due to the abuse and was adopted by humble animal lovers with little resources. He has cataracts in his other eye which renders him completely blind. As his owners were rescued from the flood and lost every single thing they own, he was stranded on a small refuge island and got tangled in a fence which damaged his back legs. Can you imagine being blind, trapped in a fence -with no way to get out -and starving and thirsty and afraid? He some how survived and made his way to my farm. He has a large injury on his leg which developed a large tumor called a “proud flesh”. It has to be surgically removed. He also will need the remnants of the remaining eye removed and sewn up so that the infection can be fully cured and he can be pain free and he has special nutritional needs to get him back to a healthy weight. We need to raise money to help cover these costs so that Rebel can live a happy and safe life and never be treated poorly again. Please join me in helping Rebel! Despite his despicable early treatment, he remains a sweet sweet soul that deserves a better life. Please do what you can! Thank you so much for your love and prayers!
