Hurricane Dorian Relief For My Family

The world has sat and watched my country, The Bahamas, be destroyed by what is known to be the most devastating hurricane to touch land in  modern history. The people of Abaco and Grand Bahama islands have taken a beating. My family resides on the island of Grand Bahama and thier houses, including my mother's, have been completely damaged by the flood and they will need help in rebuilding. I am asking any and everyone for help. My people are strong, but they cannot do this on their own. I am a Bahamian born and bred who lives far from her family, and I can't just sit here and watch my family suffer. I will use the money to help my mother and other family members fix the damages done to their houses. My mother does not have her house insured so she won't be able to pay to have everything replaced. The money will also be used to help send the necessary things they need for survival because they will be out of power for an extended period of time.  The Bahamas is a beautiful place and I know several of you who express how much they love my country and my people. Please help keep this country a place that you can come to and vaction with your familes. You will be helping persons or family members or persons who have helped you during your stay here, people who have showed you acts of kindness, and people who have insured that your time in our beautiful country was worthwhile. So I am pleading to the world to not just send your love, thoughts, and prayers, but to make a real impact.
