Hurricane Dorian- Help the Russell Family
Donation protected
I myself was not affected first hand by the storm, however my family and friends were. I am raising money to help them get back on their feet and start to rebuild their lives.
The Russell family are victims of Hurricane Dorian. The category five storm ripped through their home in Marsh Harbour on the island of Abaco in the Bahamas. The storm destroyed everything they ever knew. It took their house, their belongings, and it almost took their lives. The only thing keeping them alive was hope. Hope that they would make it through the storm. They did, but not unscathed. Kristen Russell, the oldest son, had to be air evacuated out for his injuries. Everyone else received cuts and bruises. They were all huddled together in their attic due to flood water that came up to their ceiling, praying that they would make it out. When a tornado ripped through the house, and the roof collapsed and fell on Kristen. Everything started to get sucked out of the house. They had to ride out the rest of the storm holding on to each other and praying they wouldn’t be the next thing to fly out of the house. Once the storm was over, they had to wade out through water filled with human bodies and bacteria. All the cuts they received have started to get infected, and they need medical attention. One of the worst parts is that now they are separated, and do not have the resources to get back together. They have nothing to restart their lives with. They lost everything, and have nowhere to turn. Please find it in your heart to help them get back together and start to rebuild what they once had.
