Aid for Harveys First Responders

Hi I am Jessica Mathews. I am a senior at Battlefield High School in northern VA. I got an email from Pastor Barry, my pastor at Park Valley Church, yesterday asking for help raising money & getting a group of people together to go to Houston and help with flood relief. I would love to go to TX and help, but sadly because of school I am not able to do so. However, I want to do my part so I decided I would raise money to help the famlies of the first responders who's homes have been destroyed and they are still out risking their lives helping others, rather than being home helping their own families.  One police officer has lost his life helping others during this devastating disaster. 
Having a police officer as a dad is great. He is always helping us, but sometimes he can not be there to help  when others need him more. These police officers in TX are risking their  lives to help others, at the expense of being home and helping their own families. I was on google images looking at pictures of the flood when  I came across a picture of a police officer carrying  young children to safety.  It was heart breaking,  I want the money I raise to  go directly to the first responders and their families. TO  HELP THE PEOPLE WHO HELP US! My prayers go out to everyone during this difficult time.
