Huntley's Medical Fund
Donation protected
Huntley Sterling is a loving, sixty-six (66) year old father of five (5) adult children and fifteen (15) grandchildren. He is a disabled veteran after having served honorably in the United States Army. He has been married to his beautiful wife of forty-four (44) years, Fredria Sterling. Huntley has sponsored many in recovery and has been an asset to his community for many years. In 2001, Huntley was diagnosed with kidney cancer and surgery was performed to remove the kidney that was malignant. After surgery, his life was normal until the summer of 2016. After taking a new blood pressure medication, he had an adverse reaction. Huntley was in the hospital for twenty-four (24) days and his kidney function became a concern. As of January 10, 2018, Huntley’s kidney function is at 17% which is below the normal functioning level. On December 1, 2017, Huntley had a tubular fistula implant in his veins to enable him to have dialysis. It is only a matter of time before Huntley loses his last functioning kidney. As a family, we are asking for donations to offset the medical cost associated with a kidney transplant and the medication that will assist in helping the body not reject the new kidney. He has been to Emory Hospital to complete all his testing, so at present he is waiting for a donor. Our family members are being tested to see if anyone’s blood will be a match. Follow Huntley on Facebook and we will keep everyone up to date on his progress. Your donations as well as prayers will be greatly appreciated. Please inbox me if you would like to send a check. The Sterling family thanks you in advance for your prayers and support. God be with you.
