While we have "met" our fundraising goal, the expenses continue to accumulate for Hunter's family. By making a donation, you are helping Hunter and his family with future medical and related travel expenses, as well as adaptive technology to support Hunter's commitment to living a normal life.
While on vacation, Colorado teen Hunter Treschl was attacked by a shark off the waters of Oak Island, NC. the shark took Hunter's left arm, but left his spirit and sense of humor intact. If you've seen his interviews in the media, you've no doubt been inspired and impressed with Hunter's postive attitude. Hunter is courageous and optimistic, and is determined to "fight and live a normal life."
The family is appreciative of the support and encouragement that has been coming in from around the world. Please feel free to include your hometown in a message to Hunter, along with your contribution. Hunter enjoys reading your comments!
All funds raised will go directly to Sarah Treschl, Hunter's mother, to assist with Hunter's medical bills and travel expenses.
(About me: I first met the Treschl family when Hunter was a student in my third grade class. Since then, our friendship evolved; we've shared many great adventures, and I'm proud to consider both Hunter and Sarah among my most cherished friends.)
