Medical Fellowship in Hungary

I am currently a Junior at Georgetown College, studying Health Science and Biology. I aspire to attend Medical School after I graduate in hopes to have a career in Pediatric Surgery.
I was recently accepted as a fellow to take part in this summer's Atlantis Project Fellowship program in Budapest, Hungary.
Atlantis has become one of America's leading global healthcare education programs, connecting passionate pre-med students to clinical shadowing opportunities overseas, while helping them build connections for their futures with medical professionals all over the world.
With the program I am partaking in, I will be based in Budapest, Hungary for two weeks with other pre-med students. I will be able to recieve 40+ clinical shadowing hours in the hospitals, get hands-on learning opportunities with European doctors, and be able to develop a deeper love and understanding of the healthcare world while using real-world situations and techniques.
We will be working out of Magyarorszagi Reformatus Egyhaz Bethesda Gyermekkorhaza Hospital in the major city of Budapest.
Because this trip is a two week long educational fellowship program with many perks, it comes at a pretty steep price. Atlantis houses us, covers meals per week, gets our rotation schedules and hands-on time with the doctors, but we have to individually pay for our plane tickets, housing fees, program fees and our initial deposit. The first deposit was due in November and has been paid for already, securing my spot in the program and assures that my housing plan is completely set. The plane tickets have not been purchased yet, and is included in the lump sum that is listed on this page. The final program fee is rather large and is due by May of 2018.
I know this is happening fairly quickly, but because this fellowship program is highly competetive, I firmly believe that this program will be an amazing opportunity for me, both culturally and educationally. This will truly help me prepare for my future, and help me gain those crucial connections that I may not obtain elsewhere.
