Aloha! My name is Uma Lakshmi  and I am so excited to share my inspiring music with you and the world! I've been writing and playing music here on magical Kauai for the past 2 years and I have some really wonderful-sounding, consciousness-uplifting, heart opening, mind-expanding, soul-healing MUSIC to share!

My first album, Humanity in Harmony includes original harp and ukelele songs, looped vocals/electronic beats, and will feature many incredibly talented musicians including a choir of vocalists, drummers, beat-boxers, rappers, flutists, guitarists, and more! 

This is a really exciting project for several reasons:

1. the music is super beautiful, joyful, and unique.

2.I get to work with some of the greatest superhero musicians and artists I know.

3. The music not just about me, but about you too, and ALL OF US. Its about bringing us All Together as One Family. (Hence the name Humanity in Harmony).

4. The album (and eventually the tour of the album) are just the first steps to bring awareness and support to Humanity in Harmony- the sustainable community movement. This movement has already begun right here where I live on Kauai, Hawaii with a beautiful 40-acre piece of land nestled against a mountain and surrounded by a river, with organic, permaculture gardens, a huge orchard of fruit trees, and plans for an outdoor stage/ampitheatre, a sound-healing dome, retreat center, and an alternative school for children focused on each child's unique needs and gifts, as well as outdoor learning, music and the arts! 

This piece of land is where many Uma Lakshmi events will be held (concerts, sound-healings, singing circles, voice lessons, etc)  and once it is all set-up and fully in gear, it will be an example and a model for harmonious, thriving, sustainable living.

With YOUR SUPPORT I can continue to work on this dream while I make Humanity in Harmony- the Album, at a state-of-the-art recording studio.

After the album is done, the next step is to share it with as many people as possible.This means a full-blown North American Tour- Me and a band of High-vibin' superhero artists and musicians will start playing shows starting on the hawaiian islands, and then on to the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Northern California). After that we will see where the wind takes us- where ever (in the US) the music and the light are needed and desired, we will heed the call. These shows are no ordinary concerts- they are co-creative, interactive experiences- we love when YOU join in, with your song, with your dance, however you feel moved. At every show, I invite everyone to tone together, creating a unified field of sound that resonates with the heavens. 


By doing a tour, we can spread  this Love and Light to thousands of people, and togetherwe can create Powerful, unforgettable, inspirational musical experiences. We can also bring awareness and support to Humanity in Harmony, the sustainable living movement. 

In other words, this tour is about blasting as many hearts and minds open as possible and spreading the message of Humanity in Harmony. 

****NOTE: I just finished a kickstarter with a goal of 22,000 and although I got TONS of support and and many people were greatly inspired and moved, I did not make the goal and because it was an all or nothing campaign, I didn't make any money.  My fans really wanted me to recieve that money so I'm doing this gofundme campaign because I will receive every penny of your support, no matter how much it is! 
         
I'm asking for $3333 so I can begin recording the album right away, (a $5000 project) but more $ is needed for more steps to take place. the more money received, the further we can take this vision, from finishing and touring the album, building the sound healing dome, school and retreat center, to creating more and more beautiful and inspiring music and art to share.
