Hukill Strong

On January 13, 2015, the Hukill Family received the devastating news that Lucas had Stage 4 Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma. This vicious and extremely rare cancer had invaded the body of an otherwise healthy, young man. On Tuesday, February 17, 2015, Lucas passed away surrounded by his family and friends.  Lucas was a dedicated husband to his amazing wife Jeanette. He was also a loving father to his three beautiful daughters, Kayleen, age 9, Karissa, age 8, and Kinsley, age 2. Lucas had spent his life selflessly protecting and serving the residents of Merced County as a Sheriff Deputy. He was a wonderful friend to many and was surrounded by many family and friends who loved him tremendously. The Hukill family has endured an unimaginable amount of stress, heartache, and fear as they traveled down the uncertain road that this horrible cancer lead them on...However, they showed that hope, faith, and an unbreakable love for each other could, and will, help get them through anything.

The funds received in this account and from future fundraisers will help the Hukill family with the medical expenses that were incurred, funeral expenses, and to make sure that Jeanette and the girls will be taken care of as Lucas would have wanted.
