Hugo's MemorialFund & FamilySupport

How do you find the right words to tell the story of a  young and amazing soul that was taken from us too soon?  How do you find the words to describe what Hugo Hernandez meant to each and every one of us...  I struggle with it as I write, so I ask for your forgiveness in advance.  Hugo was a loving son, brother, cousin, uncle, husband, father, friend, and was likely so much more to each of us.  To me, and I think to many, he was an inspiration...  An inspiration in the classroom/on the playground, an inspiration for his love of family (parents, sister, niece, loving wife - Flor, and precicous son - Sebastian), an inspiration for his love of friends, for his love of UCLA, and an inspiration for the courage he showed every single day over the past few years as he fought the hardest battle any one could, and all the while with a smile.


As we each come to terms with this insurmountable loss, may we remember the good times we had with Hugo - the laughs, the hugs, the baseball games, the classroom conversations, the phone calls, the movies, times at the beach, etc.,  and may his life inspire us to live each  and every day to the fullest.

With much love, I am establishing this fund to help the family with funeral/memorial expenses, as well as to help with additional family support that will be needed with Hugo's absence.
