Hudson's Emergency Surgery Fund
Donation protected
Hudson is a 4 month old yellow lab puppy who came into my life in March this past year. I am currently a full time college student who lives alone and he has been one of the best things to come into my life in a long time. Hudson is always full of energy and loves life, however on Sunday June 18th he began to become ill.
As the next few days passed I could tell Hudson was not himself and he began to vomit uncontrollably. His condition worsened and Tuesday evening I took him into the emergency vet. He was severely dehydrated and put on fluids where he was kept overnight in critical care. X-rays were taken and raised concern and worry in the vets, however they were unsure of what exactly was going on. The next morning more x-rays were taken, as well as an ultrasound, to determine that he had an intussusception. This condition is when part of the intestine telescopes into itself and creates a blockage. I was then given the heartbreaking decison of putting him down or bearing the expenses of an emergency surgery.
Although Hudson is only still a puppy and the risks of him not making it through the surgery were high, I could not find it in my heart to put him down. This dog is a huge blessing in my life and means the world to me.
Unfortunately, the hosptial needed payment upfront for the surgery and did not offer payment plans. I am a college student who works and goes to school full time and the only option I had for money was my credit cards. Both of my credit cards are now maxed out and MUST be repaid for the balance. This gofundme is to help repay the medical expenses of his surgery and hospitilization.
Please consider making a donation to help this sweet boy. No amount is too small. Thank you!
