Hi Moto Family!  As many of you know Mark has been hospitalized since a crash at WW Ranch Race on March 18.    Here is what Mark wrote :
"I was feeling good, came around and hit the jump after the big booter from the inside, went over the finish line jump and wacked the gp finish line jump for the first time. I just got over confident, went up ruthless and tried to scrub it.   My front tire started to slide out early. I caught my peg and did a free fall to the bottom, not the top."

Before we get into the whole story  -

MOST IMPORTANTLY Marks Doctors have asked for NO visitors for the foreseeable future.  He need to spend every single ounce of energy he has healing.  Amber will let every one know when it is ok to visit again.

After the crash he was taken to Shands in Jacksonville.  After they were able to give him a good look over he had 7 broken ribs, broken scapula, 2 bones broken in his back and a tear in his aorta.   Shortly after his blood pressure dropped to 84/33.

Ambers post on 3/20
Update on Mark. Today has had it’s ups and downs but mostly has been horrible. He had another CT of the aorta this afternoon. It hasn’t gotten worse but no improvement either. We are still waiting to hear from the Dr as to what they are doing about it. After the CT, Marks pain became worse. Found out the epidural was placed wrong and was only numbing the WRONG side   They fixed that, pain continued to escalate. Then they gave him more pain meds, he started feeling better and asked if I’d go to gift shop to get him some reading glasses. When I come back, dr and nurses are working on him and he looked dead. Turns out, he overdosed on the pain medication. When mark came to, he told me that he felt like he was dying and really felt he was going to die...so scary! He’s ok now but we, especially me, are really shook up. I feel horrible that I was gone only 15 minutes, he needed me and almost died, again. Please pray!!

That evening Amber posted this:
Marks blood pressure dropped again and he was in extreme pain.   He completely stopped breathing.  Dr said there is a build-up of fluid that they need to get out. His left lung collapsed.  They are placing a tube through his side to drain the fluid right now. Dr said this will be difficult due to his size. Dr said this won’t fix it but it will help for now and will allow him to breathe on his own. They said because of the ribs that have multiple brakes, they may have to place rib plates. Dr will let me know more after placing the tube.

Wednesday Amber writes -  Mark is  breathing and stable!  ❤️ They removed 2 liters of blood from his chest. I’m beyond thankful for the doctors and nurses that moved so quickly to save Marks life tonight. He is now sleeping and comfortable. They will talk to us tomorrow about the rib plate surgery, said he will need it. Thanks to everyone for praying for us!! I am going to try to get some sleep...have had 2 hours of sleep since Saturday. I will update again tomorrow, actually I guess it already is tomorrow...so later today.

Later Wednesday he declined again because of blood and fluid compressing his lung.  They continued to drain blood from his chest but clotting made it difficult.  Doctors said surgery was set for Thursday morning.

Thursday mornings surgery, in Ambers words, was "LONG".   The surgery was 9 hours! Things went great with no complications.  They plan on keeping him sedated  for tonight.  They are also going to keep the breathing tube in place.    This will allow him to rest and heal.

As many of you know Mark and Amber are business owners and they have have been told by doctors that he will be unable to work for at least 6 months.   Lets help them out.

Thank you so very much!!
