Help Us Move

As of today, we’ve been backed into a corner by our slumlord. We paid a deposit on a house he manages before seeing the property, as we didn’t have much of a choice (finding a place in the greater Sacramento area is notoriously difficult even for four working adults). Upon finally seeing the property we discovered it had feces everywhere, bedbugs, was in need of serious repairs, no working locks, etc. he expected us to take care of it. With some convincing he hired an unlicensed contractor and a low-bid exterminator. Few things were adequately taken care of, and the bedbugs made a quick resurgence. When we tried to get proper treatment for the house, he improperly served us and eviction notice. We decided, with the guidance of a lawyer, to send a rent withholding notice and a letter of demands. 

As of today we have only a day to move out or we will end up in unlawful detainee court with an eviction on our record. We sought guidance from our lawyer, but we don’t know if it’s too late to buy more time since we can’t wire him the money for rent this weekend. Either way, we need to move out if we want to sue and not have an eviction on our record.
unfortunately we don’t have the money between us currently, as we sunk money into this current place and have not lived here long enough to recover. We also have had lawyer fees.

I am only asking for a boost in funds to move out as quickly as possible on such short notice. It includes a deposit for a new place, moving truck, first month’s rent, as well as help withbills once we pay rent on the current place we live.
